Two days to surgery. All I really want to do is go for a nice long run. I seen the surgeon yesterday and he informed me I would be awake during surgery but wouldn't remember any of it. All I can imagine now is being able to hear them cutting on my leg with a saw or drilling holes for the screws. Or just hearing the doctor say something like, "I have extra pieces; where do these go?" Yeah my imagination is going wild. But no the flip side, I think it is pretty cool to be awake during the surgery.
And yes that is me during Ironman North Carolina 70.3 in the photo. You can really see how bad my alignment is off with the left leg. Finally getting it fixed and going to move forward with a new knee. The journey is going to be fun.
I will post again sometime after surgery.
