I have been training pretty steady working out 6-days a week as 2 x strength training, 2 x bike, and 2 x "runs". I was doing much more than that but I wanted to start getting a little more deliberate in my workouts and focus on form and strength.
I am still not swimming only because I don't like to swim and it hurts the knee. I confirmed it on Labor Day as I was in the water with my Grandson and the kicking to stay afloat really aggravated the knee. Of course I wasn't swimming freestyle. I was on my side ensuring he was okay (4yo).
Yesterday as I went out for my "run" as I stepped up over a curb my foot hit the front of it. I felt a little twinge but didn't think anything about it at the time and I continued my workout with only 8 x 20 seconds of actual running. Much less than I have done previously. Last night my knee was really swollen and I could only attribute it to kicking the curb. This morning it is still swollen, worse than normal. Usually when it is swollen in the evening it is "normal" in the morning and I can continue my training.
