About Me

I know what it is to be the Triathlon Age-Grouper and balance life with triathlon training. I’m a husband, father of 2, grandfather and serve in the U.S. Military. All while training for triathlons as well as coaching endurance athletes to meet their goal.

I am an International Triathlon Coaching Association certified coach and continue to educate myself on the sport.  As a lifelong endurance athlete, I have completed 8x marathons, 2x Ironman, 15x half-ironman, countless sprint and olympic distance triathlons, 10x Age Group Nationals qualifier, and have placed at various races and distances.  I have coached athletes from 5K to Ironman.

Training Programs

Whether you are just getting off the couch and wanting to run your first 5K, or have goals of competing in an Ironman (and everything in between), Tri-More-Fitness will build a customized program that will work for you.

Set-Up Fee:  $100

Premium Plan:  $180 per month

  • This plan is for athletes who need a weekly schedule of workouts designed specifically for their training and life
  • Allows for modifications to the plan based on work, family, training and race
  • Unlimited communication offered
  • The goal is to respond within 24 hours to questions and concerns
  • Training and racing nutritional advice and suggestions offered
  • Heart Rate testing conducted and zones established
  • If training by Power: Function Threshold Power (FTP) testing and training zones established – Additional $10 per month
  • Premium TrainingPeaks account included
  • Free Triathlon Kit

Basic Plan:  $95 per month

  • This plan is for athletes who want their training in four-week training blocks designed specifically for their training and life
  • Weekly communication offered
  • The goal is to respond within 72 hours to questions and concerns.
  • Training and racing nutritional advice and suggestions offered
  • Heart Rate testing conducted and zones established
  • Basic TrainingPeaks account included
  • If training by power: Function Threshold Power (FTP) testing and training zones established – Additional $10 per month
  • First Triathlon Kit available for $65.

Group Plan:  Starts at $165 (add $15 for each additional athlete)

  • $65 Set-Up fee for each athlete
  • Minimum of three athletes required; add $15 for each additional athlete
  • Three or more athletes training for the same race
  • Same training plan for all athletes with minimal difference
  • The workouts will be heart rate zone or pace based
  • Heart Rate and threshold pace tests conducted and zones established
  • Weekly communication offered
  • The goal is to respond within 96 hours to questions and concerns.
  • Basic TrainingPeaks account included
  • Triathlon Kit available for $65.

It's important to understand that hiring a coach is not something you do to have someone tell you that everything you do is perfect. My job is to provide with a program that has purpose behind each workout, provide you direction, improve upon your weaknesses and provide encouragement along the way. While I'm all for encouraging my athletes and do so a lot, they also all understand that it's my job is to get them to the finish line.  As an athlete your job is to complete each workout as designed, be honest and open with your training, you must to improve. I can coach all day but if you're not willing to do the work, the results will not be there.

A big shout out to David Boyer. Since starting my work with David, I have improved in all areas. I thought running two races in two days this weekend would be a challenge. David gave me a plan (which I tried to follow) and I actually felt stronger on day two on a longer more difficult course. But for some goggle/contact lens issues during the swim, I might have gotten on the podium. Still have a lot of work to do before IM Florida but this weekend has given me a boost in confidence. Love Tri_More_Fitness coaching!!! just got an unexpected race day report breaking down the good, the not so good and the just plain ugly (ah, it wasn't that bad) LOVE getting great, solid, very detailed and constructive feedback. Totally looking forward to continuing to grow in the sport...so much room for growth and progress. My only problem is I want that progress like right now, immediately.
